Kaliopi & the Blues Messengers

Kaliopi & the Blues Messengers have honed in on pre-WW delta blues and arranged 7 thematically selected works of Memphis Minnie as a foundation, and one homage to Koko Taylor having developed a unique flavour of 1/2 time jug shuffles from the double-bass, brushes and skins, layered with dixie piano, weaving clarinet, and delta guitar topped with Kaliopi’s soulful vocals.
