Rich Webb & The Liars are making their long-awaited debut at the Lomo, bringing their exciting brand of original alt-rock / alt-country to the Lowie Live stage. 

 

You will know of these peeps already: Rich (vocals/guitar) has a heap of records under his own name, including ‘Le Rayon Vert’, 2019 Alt-Country album of the year. Matt Dixon (lead guitar/pedal steel) is a legend around these parts, often seen backing many of Australia’s finest, while Alics Gate-Eastley (bass/vocals) and Jim Carden (drums/vocals) are from The Warner Brothers among others. 

 

They’ve been together as The Liars for the past couple years, releasing radio-featured singles ‘Mess of It’, ‘Hummingbird (for Brett Whiteley)’ and most recently ‘Peace With Bombs (No No No)’. 

 

They arrive with a heap of new tunes ahead of an album due the second half of this year.  Americana-UK says they “show a true understanding of what makes Americana great, with the breezy cool possessed by Tom Petty running through them.” Come and see what all the fuss is about. They will be joined for this special Lowie Live show by Henry Webb on keys.
